Express Clothing - Return policy is outdated
I purchased a skirt for $60.00 that my daughter was going to wear to an awards banquet. She became ill and could not attend.
I went to return the skirt with tags on shortly after a 90 day policy but no receipt and they said no I could not return nor get a store credit. Their return policy sticks and I'm not going to shop at any of Express stores again.
Just a note: On the flip side I had to return the shirt that went with the skirt to American Eagle Outfitters and they gave me full price without the receipt in a gift card.
I went back to that sore three times used the gift card and spent more!!! Thats customer service!!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $12000.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Express Clothing Cons: Exchange policy, Cashier actitud.
Location: South Elgin, Illinois

I'm sorry did you say after 90 days and with no receipt? But for American eagle you had your receipt?
How is that even a comparable experience?
Oh wait... it isn't.
You just realized you didn't have $5 for your starbucks that day to continue your window shopping. And when realized it your 3 MONTHS was up.
I'm sorry, but you were really in the wrong this time. 90 days is a very long return policy and you had all that time and waited until the last minute.
Sometimes you should try thinking about it in their shoes. Chances are, you would do the same.
Try shopping at stores like Forever 21 and having to return something. You can't even get your cash back if you return in-store.
You have to get store credit and they give you only 30 days from the time of ordering, so if it took 1 week to arrive at your house, then you really have only 22 days.
Also, until recently, there was a large number of things you could not return. Now THAT is a less-than desirable return policy.
You had 90 days that's a long time
